High School

From tomorrow, as a class of 2023, I will move in into a boarding school in the US. I’ve dreamt about enrolling in this school since the first  time I saw it.

I worked and studied very hard for this school. When I got my acceptance letter, I overflowed with happiness and excitement. I am very  excited even though I’ll be away from home. I’m used to being away since I’ve always been to Summer Camps.

At the school, I get my own horse for the first year and it becomes my responsibility. I have to feed and clean it’s barn every morning before I eat breakfast. I’m very excited for the horse program as well.

I hope to make new friends and find new subjects that I’ll enjoy.

Tabitha 24 Hour Fast

In my Global Concern Group called Tabitha, we all have to do a sponsored 24Hours Fast to raise money for poor families who live in a rural area in Cambodia. This works by telling other people about the Fast and then you ask them to sponsor you for doing the fast. I raised $600 from this. The money raised will go to costs for building houses for the trip in March. I have to raise $300 more to meet my goal.

Volleyball U14 Champions

My U14 Volleyball team and I won every single match we played and won the Singapore International U14 Volleyball League. We played against many international schools and won all of our matches. We became the best team for our age group in Singapore. I am in the starting 6 and on for the whole match. Our team was very happy when we won the last game and became first.

Lombok Island Charity

I heard that Lombok Island in Indonesia recently was hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0. I have been to Lombok before and it is a beautiful place. The ocean is blue with many fishes and you can snorkel and scuba dive. Many residents are suffering from the earthquake. Many houses have been destroyed. I decided to do a charity for Lombok Island. I have an account on Carousell. Carousell is a platform where people with smart phones can sell personal things online. For Example, I have sold my old toys and unused items. Many houses and buildings were destroyed by the 7.0 magnitude earthquake and many people are still living in tents. I decided to donate the money made from the products that I sold on Carousell.

My new PC

Me and my friend Aarush built a PC together. We bought all the parts required and built it together. Aarush is a pro at building PCs. He has made 4 PCs in total and been to the shop 7 times. They gave us a discount because of this. It took us 6 hours to build the PC. We had to screw everything in and wire all of the parts. We went through some problems, but we fixed them all. When the PC finally turned on, excitement ran through my body. I was so happy and excited. I couldn’t thank him enough.

Volleyball U16A Team

This week there were Volleyball tryouts on Wednesday and Friday. I went to both of the try outs and did my best. On Wednesday, we did all of the basic skills. Receiving, setting and spiking. After that we did a 4-on-4 King of the Court. My team stayed king for 6 consecutive rounds. On Friday we did jumping and more work on skills. We did serving techniques, spiking techniques, etc. By the end of both tryouts we were exhausted. We jumped and ran for the whole 1.5 hours. On Friday after the try-outs, the coach told us to sit down. We all knew that he was announcing the team members. We all sat down in silence. As he called out the names one by one, faces started to brighten up. That included mine. Me and my two other friend all made the team. I was so glad that we could all play Volleyball together. There were 35 people who tried out. Only 9 people were picked. So when I heard my name I was surprised. I am very glad that I made the U16A team. I will work hard and get better at volleyball.

All of the big sizes had bigger numbers so I got 35

First Day

Nothing really special happened today, I just went to school. But afterschool, I went to the doctors to see if my broken arm is completely healed. I went there and then I took a X-ray photo. The doctor saw it and explained it to us. My arm had healed and now I can start playing Judo again. I was very happy to know that.

Thursday

Today I swam at school. It’s nearly end of the week! I am so happy! This weekend I am going to my friend’s birthday party!

It is a sleep over after going to adventure cove. EXCITED!
